Preeti Kumar, a woman in her 50s, escapes an oppressive marriage to her unfaithful and abusive husband, facing the scorn of her conservative community. The situation is further complicated as her daughter Mallika, in her 20s, tries to untangle the conflicting stories presented by her parents.
Faced with age and gender discrimination, Preeti finds employment as a grocery clerk. Here, she forms an unexpected bond with Susan, an outspoken colleague who challenges her to view life differently. Preeti also befriends Jackson, a Black nightclub owner, who becomes an influential figure in her life.
With the support of her friends, Preeti delves into the world of fashion design, aiming to rebuild her strained relationship with Mallika. However, her ex-husband Ajay does everything he can to sabotage her efforts. As Preeti steps into her independence, she grapples with the repercussions of her choices. Ultimately, she showcases her fashion designs and embraces her feelings for another man.
